Nooooo Camp's finished

 Kia ora Koutou, Last week the year 5 and 6's of makaraka school went on camp to lake Karapiro, Cambridge, Waikato river {these are all the same places} and we had a lot of fun it was so hard to decide on a favorite activity buttt it was... The Magic carpet on the lake. A funny thing was when the parents/adults went on the magic carpet the pontoon that helps you get back to the other pontoon broke off of the pontoon that we were sitting on 😆😅😂🤣. We were all screaming at the adults so loud to come and fix it that the guy Joe {he worked there} could here us from big camp {keep in mind we were a couple minutes away from big camp}Joe came and fixed the pontoon.

Harold, Oh Harold

 Kia-ora koutou katoa, This week I went to harold the giraffe twice we learnt about the brain and different blood cells. Did you know that you have 2 different blood cells in your body, 1 blood cell is a white cell it is made by the soft part of your bone, every 100 red blood cells there is 1 white cell.

In your brain the are things called neurons and they control your body. The left side o your body is controlled by the right side of your brain and the same with the right side of your body but it is controlled by the left side of your brain.

Museum Trip

Morning,  Afternoon,  Almost Good night  everyone. Today  Tawhirimatea My class went to the museum In gisborne NZ.  We  made a Maori instrument called purerehua. I enjoyed Decorating my purerehua with designs. Aunty ora was our teacher. There were a lot of cool instruments aunty ora play some of them.

 We made soup why and when. Well I'll tell ya. last week my class made soup my group mayed broccoli soup. We made soup for matariki.

For the past term my class has been studying biogas  and we read a story so here is how biogas is made.

 A couple of weeks ago the year 5's went to wild lab. Wild lab is a outside classroom. You would like wild lab. We had to make a report and a picture so here is my report.

This week we have been reading and writing about a story called vege car. A vege car is a car that is run on vege oil specifically peanut oil, this is a way how to submit less carbon admission.

we had to get into groups make a sculpture out of fruit and veg.

Next we had to sketch it roughly in our journal.

After that we drew it on to a black paper and pastled it.

Here is tawhirimatea's fav ice cream

 what is your favorite ice cream flavor. Here is ours. We had to get in buddys from our math group and do a survey around the class and with the teachers. I surveyed  30  people from tawhirimatea including the teachers. We got a choice of  questions we choice What is the fav ice cream, you would have had 3 choices chocolate, vanila, boysenberry and hokey pokey.

Every term we change our goal this term i chose Working cooperatively with classmates because i get distracted and want to use all of my ideas.

 

hopefully better maths this term

today was our first maths grid of the term i got 68. Fingers crossed it gets higher not lower.

Cedenco ( Behind the scenes )

 To day our class and tanemahuta went to cedenco we had 3 stations the boardroom, the qc lab and the walk around. walk around included the dryer room the packing room and other rooms. In the QC lab we got to taste powders, purees and pastes. We had to where hair nets in the QC lab. Malia had to help do a test i did to I helped with the brix test which is where you test the sweetness I tested gold kiwi fruit it was 13 brix. the pack house was where they packed the corn. My favorite was when we went through the air shower to get to the dryer room.

This is my term 1 2021 grid it will change over the term. I will hopefully going to get better . It is a bit hard at the start but it will get easier  hopefully

Were the work that I do will go.  It was easy picking passion photos ( photos that explain my passions ) and the photos that have me in them li the wedding photo and yoga.
